Error message theme is missing style.css stylesheet

When I try and upload the theme into WordPress I receive this message and I’ve tried downloading the theme installation files a couple of times and I’ve deleted the former files to ensure that I start with a clean slate each time.

I have followed these instructions and had over 6 attempts at downloading the files and deleting those formerly downloaded. I have also tried to trouble shoot doing google research in forums etc but I have not been able to resolve the issue and I have not received any follow up contact to my messages today.
