Mega Menu
The Mega Menu allows you to organize large numbers of navigation links in a clean and structured layout. It helps customers quickly find collections, products, or important pages while also allowing you to highlight promotions using images.
1. Mega Menu Overview
The Mega Menu in the theme provides an advanced navigation layout that supports multiple columns, nested menu links, and promotional images. It improves store navigation and enhances the user experience by displaying multiple categories and links in a single dropdown panel.
2. How to Set Up Mega Menu
Follow the steps below to create and configure a Mega Menu in your store:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Open the Header Section where the navigation menu settings are located.
- Click Add Mega Menu Block to create a new Mega Menu.
- Enter the Parent Menu Item Name. This should exactly match the main navigation menu item where the Mega Menu should appear (for example: Catalog or Shop).
- Upload a promotional image using the Select Image option. You can upload a custom image or choose a free image from Shopify.
- Add an Image Title to display a heading on the image.
- Paste a URL inside the Image Link field to make the image clickable. You can
link it to a collection, product, or page.
- To create the menu structure, go to Online Store → Navigation and create a nested menu with at least two levels of links.
3. Important Notes
- Ensure that the Parent Menu Item Name matches the navigation menu exactly.
- The Mega Menu requires a proper nested menu structure to display correctly.
- Avoid adding unnecessary extra layers in the navigation menu as it may break the Mega Menu layout.
- Use clear category names and well-organized menu links to improve customer navigation.
